A random observation/question

Why is it that…

Protestants have “Ave Maria” sung at their weddings?

Yes, it’s a lovely song. It’s sort of entered the standard wedding repetoire. But they do know what it’s saying, right? And that their churches completely reject what’s being sung?

Just curious.

Do they not realize that their Founder Martin Luther, also encouraged his followers to “make the sign of the cross every day” when waking up out of bed?

It is just proof of the lack of an intellectual basis for Protestantism.

I didn’t know that, but I do know that Luther had a devotion to Mary until his death.
